Aether – Privacy Policy

Summary: Aether does not collect, sell, or share your personal data with third parties. All your data is stored privately on your device and optionally synced via your personal iCloud account.

1. Who We Are

Aether is developed and maintained by FacilityDesign, an independent developer. If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy, you can contact us at officialfacilitydesign@gmail.com.

2. What Data Aether Stores

Aether is a personal productivity app. The following data is created and stored exclusively by you:

Notes (titles, content, groups)
Tasks and to-do items
Calendar events
Password and account entries (app name, email, phone, password, subscription info)
Insurance tables and records

This data belongs entirely to you. FacilityDesign has no access to it at any time.

3. How Your Data Is Stored

On-Device Storage All data is stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

iCloud Sync (Required) Aether requires iCloud to function. Your data is automatically synced across your devices via Apple's CloudKit. This sync is handled entirely by Apple and is subject to Apple's Privacy Policy. FacilityDesign never has access to your iCloud data.

4. Sign in with Apple

Aether requires Sign in with Apple to access the app. Authentication is mandatory. When you use this feature:

Apple may share your name and email address with the app
You can choose to hide your email using Apple's private relay
This information is stored only on your device and is never sent to FacilityDesign servers

FacilityDesign does not operate any servers or databases. Your identity information stays on your device.

5. Data We Do NOT Collect

Aether does not collect, store, or transmit:

Analytics or usage data
Crash reports sent to third parties
Advertising identifiers
Location data
Contacts or photos
Any data to FacilityDesign servers (we have none)

6. Third-Party Services

Aether uses the following Apple frameworks, all governed by Apple's own Privacy Policy:

CloudKit — optional iCloud sync
Sign in with Apple — authentication
UserNotifications — local notifications (never sent to external servers)

No third-party SDKs, analytics tools, or advertising networks are used in Aether.

7. Notifications

Aether may send local notifications for calendar events, subscription expiry reminders, and task summaries. These notifications are generated entirely on your device and no notification content is transmitted externally.

8. Children's Privacy

Aether is suitable for users of all ages. The app does not knowingly collect personal data from anyone. Since all data is stored locally on the user's device, there is no risk of children's data being transmitted or accessed by FacilityDesign.

9. Data Deletion

Since all data is stored on your device, you are in full control. You can delete any data directly within the app, or delete the app entirely to remove all associated local data. iCloud data can be managed through your device's iCloud settings.

10. Changes to This Policy

If this Privacy Policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a new "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
